Projects and Programs

African Nova Scotian Affairs encourages everyone to explore our many projects and programs. By participating in them, African Nova Scotians can contribute to the work of ANSA, play a role in the community and benefit from initiatives that promote healthy individuals and families.

Community Voices

ANSA is calling on all African Nova Scotians to participate in Community Voices. Through a series of five programs, Community Voices will increase the amount of information collected and shared about African Nova Scotians, promote communities and highlight achievements.

Grant Program

ANSA offers funding to support African Nova Scotian projects or initiatives that contribute to the community. Charitable and not-for-profit groups are invited to review the criteria and apply to the grant program.

Nova Scotia Brotherhood Initiative

The Brotherhood Initiative is designed to create health clinics specifically focused on meeting the health needs of African Nova Scotian men. It seeks to address the health disparities often faced by males of African descent.
