The DBDLI African Nova Scotian History Challenges and Awards were established to encourage discussion about African Nova Scotian History in our schools and communities. The Awards are presented to students whose submissions to the Challenges best exemplify the contributions that African Nova Scotians have made to the history, heritage and culture of our province. The 2018 Awards will be presented to recipients at a ceremony in early 2018. The top prize is traditionally presented by the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia.
