Just updating you on the upcoming 68th annual African United Baptist Association - Women's Institute sessions on October 20-22, 2023 at East Preston United Baptist Church.  During the Parade of Choirs on Friday night at 6:30 pm.  Saturday morning begins with registration at 900 am - 930 am.

930-10:00 am is the Praise Team.  Devotion is at 10:00 am with Sis. Trynda Thomas.  Business session will follow.  Lunch and workshops at 1:15 pm.

Saturday night at 530 pm we will be the Legacy Banquet (East Preston Recreation Centre) honoring ladies who have 50 plus years in their ladies group. Tickets are $40.00 and to contact Sis. Althea Tolliver (President) for them at 902 789 4841. All welcome to attend.

 

On Sunday this year for the memorial service we will be "Meeting at the Well."  The well is located beside the East Preston United Baptist Church by the church parsonage.  Service will start at 9:00 am and we will then walk back to the church for 10:00 am.  Please bring the names/pictures of ladies who passed since 2019-2023.  There will be memorial envelopes available if you would like to make a memorial donation.

 

Guest speaker:  Minister Aretha Borden-Davis (Detroit, Michigan) formerly from New Glasgow, NS.  Guest soloist is Sis. Zoe Tolliver.

 

The theme is "With God All Things Are Possible", theme hymn:  "The Lord Is My Light" and text:  Proverbs 3:5-7.
