The Museum takes part in Nocturne Halifax to explore this year’s theme, “Nomadic Reciprocity” through the lens of immigration. Begin your Nocturne tour at the Museum this year and discover these inspiring artists and stunning creations:

 

Nocturne Beacon Project artists Alan Syliboy and Lukas Pearse present an outdoor projection mapping piece combining Mi’kmaq art with technologically driven video art.

 

Mocean Dance and Hear Here Productions present Burnwater: Arrival, an interactive performance and installation that explores the connections between place, memory and the natural world.

 

Marla Benton presents The Reflection Room, a hands-on activity for participants to take home an art piece and leave a memory behind.

 

Justin Buckley and Eskasoni Cultural Journeys present Wind Stories, collaborating Mi’kmaq storytellers with software-generated sound art to interpret the wind.
