On 18 January 2021, the law for organ and tissue donation changed in Nova Scotia. The Nova Scotia Human Organ and Tissue Donation Act will make it possible for more Nova Scotians to donate their organs and tissues.
HAAC will be having a Town Hall on April 26 from 6:30 – 8:30 to discuss the changes. The event will be hosted by Sharon Davis-Murdoch and Dr. David Haase.
Joining us will be, Dr. Stephen Beed, Medical Director of the Nova Scotia Organ Donation Program for Nova Scotia Health, to discuss the new legislation and how the changes will affect you and Dr. Jacob Cookey to discuss the possible mental health considerations. The attached poster has the complete details and the Zoom information is below.
For those of you who use Outlook, a calendar invite will follow. If you use Google or Yahoo calendars, please let me know and I can send you a calendar invite also.
