 EARLY ARRIVALS is a unique traveling exhibit that explores facets of Africa history, culture and geographical landscapes thus bridging the gap to modern day society. The exhibit offers a better understanding of the world’s second largest continent and its people from a historical and contemporary perspective. Museum goers of all ages and cultural backgrounds will discover first-hand the depth and richness of African people and their significant contributions globally. Vibrant images, objects and text intertwined reflect past realities and promote dialogue adding credence and authenticity to times and places. Iron tools, stone edifices and abandoned villages confirm an advanced civilization left behind. The exhibit leaves visitors with a legacy worthy of discussion and further study of African - Canadian History
