A descendant of Black Loyalists, Jamaican Maroons, and Black refugees who came to Canada, Shauntay Grant’s love of language stretches back to her storytelling roots in Nova Scotia’s historic Black communities. Her newest book, The Walking Bathroom, is a sweet story of standing out and fitting in, and it is filled with fun, vibrant artwork from Erin Bennett Banks (Change of Heart).
