For African Heritage Month, Sobeys Dietitians are partnering with local African Nova Scotian communities to offer a Taste and Learn class all about African Nova Scotian Food Heritage. Join Yvette Jarvis from the Association of Black Social Workers and Sobeys Dietitian Jennalle Butcher to learn how to prepare a traditional fishcake recipe and taste the results. Participants will also learn about our shared history and the significance of food and cooking in African Nova Scotian communities.
Sobeys Dietitians offer free health and nutrition programming in select stores. We offer a free cooking demonstration class "Taste and Learn" on a monthly basis, with each month having a different topic.
