This exhibit runs from Feb. 1st, 2017 - July 1st, 2017
The 10 panel didactic Exhibit examines (9) generations of African Canadian ancestry from the early arrival of the first known slave to Montaque, PEI in 1785 (Sickles), his burial in a Protected Government site leading to present day families in Cumberland County. Visitors will be inspired to build on the exhibits narrative that has helped shaped our nation. Accompanying the exhibit is a 60 page Legacy publication featuring Cumberland.
