On Wednesday, February 28th Shelburne Museums by the Sea’s Community Engagement Council will host Dartmouth playwright  David Woods as he relates stories from Extraordinary Acts, his new play exploring the African Nova Scotian community’s experiences during the 1917 Halifax Explosion.

 

Woods’ play, completed in October 2017, marked the very first broad investigation of African Nova Scotian experiences during the time of the Halifax Explosion.

 

Doors will open at 6:30 pm with the presentation beginning at 7pm. Admission is by donation and all proceeds will go to the Shelburne County Museum to support future programming.
