Dalhousie Art Gallery (DAG) presents three concurrent exhibitions to begin African Heritage Month that celebrate Black resilience, creativity, and the strength of community through multimedia art practices. Down Home: Portraits of Resilience, Oluseye: by Faith and Grit, and Theaster Gates: Billy Sings Amazing Grace offer varied perspectives on history, identity, and perseverance and will be on view from February 6 – April 27, 2025.  

The opening reception of the exhibitions will take place on Thursday, February 6th, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Featuring music by DJ R$ $mooth and light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend.   

Gallery Hours: Dalhousie Art Gallery is open Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 AM to 5 PM; Thursdays, 11 AM to 8 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays, 12 to 5 PM. The Gallery is always free to attend.
