Celebrate African Heritage Month with a special light show dedicated to this year's theme ‘Our Smiles, Our Joy, Our Resilience as African Nova Scotians.’ You can watch it nightly, throughout the month of February, projected on the façade of the former Halifax Memorial Library at Grafton Park (corner of Spring Garden Road and Grafton Street). The 5 minute light show highlights two events that symbolize resilience, culture and legacy for African Nova Scotians and people of African descent: the Africville Reunion and Afrifest. The show depicts scenes of colourful animation and text, timed perfectly to music written specifically for the show by local musician Bradley “Raslaxx” Frankson of Legacy Music
