Afrifest showcases the visual and performing arts, as well as the culture of people of African descent. The festival features artists from many African nations and the Caribbean. Their artistic works encompass a range of genres, including visual arts, drumming, jazz, hip-hop, gospel, and spoken word. The festival brings African Canadian artists together to share their talents. The festival connects African, Nova Scotian, and other Canadian groups, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Performers from across Canada, Africa, the Caribbean, and France are taking part in this year's festival.
