The Black History Month Dinner and Dance is one of the annual activities of the Africa Festival of Arts and Culture Society and the goal is to acknowledge the history and important events in the life of African Canadians and Nova Scotians. The Dinner will start at 6:00 pm and will end about 12:00 midnight. The Dinner will include highlight from historical perspective the journey and accomplishments of African Nova Scotians in politics, civic and cultural activities, a full course dinner, and a memorable cultural performance by Master Drummer Amadou Kienou and the Djeli Sira group originally from Burkina Faso, now based in Toronto and Montreal and some local Djembe drummers.
