In keeping with the United Nations’ International Decade for People of African Descent, the Gathering will bring African Nova Scotian/Black communities together to:

  • Share information on the current state of the communities
  • Share best practices and ways to support each other
  • Discuss what is happening at all levels of government to enhance growth and economic prosperity of all communities
  • Begin to develop the Roadmap to Economic Prosperity: a strategy and vision to ensure growth and prosperity for African Nova Scotian/Black communities and neighbourhoods


The event will feature keynote speeches, and presentations from groups and organizations working on behalf of our communities. Come out and have a say in how we can build growth and prosperity for OUR communities!
