The world music group Moja Makani will release a DVD of its groundbreaking Rhythms of Life show on February 16th, 3 pm at the Alderney Landing Theatre in Dartmouth. Admission to the show is free but freewill donations are accepted.

 

Rhythms of Life is a live musical documentary describing some of the historical and cultural influences on the African Nova Scotian and Canadian experience. In addition to a performance of the show, the DVD includes a presentation of The History of Blues in Nova Scotia and a video of African proverbs set to original music.
